We are so happy to say we are getting almost all our vegetables from the Green Road these days. The Green Road is a Stellenbosch based initiative that aims to achieve goals of encouraging authentic, sustainable and organic farming practices, and empowering people through job opportunities on a community driven level.
Beetroots from the Green Road served as the always popular tarte tatin with homemade creme fraiche and a magic mix of baby leaves and herb salad. Also a platter of woodfired bread from Fritz, farm butter and Karoo olives.
Slow roast shoulder of lamb served with Green Road sourced sweet potatoes, aubergines and carrots. We are playing with some Turkish flavours here, so expect lots of fresh herbs, pomegranate and fragrant spices!
Homemade fig sorbet, nut praline, white and dark chocolates.
